SUCKER ROD GUIDES FOR PROGRESSIVE CAVITY PUMPING (PCP) SYSTEMS

Cobalt® sucker rod guides are designed and manufactured using advanced hydrodynamic designs and high performance ARPMAX polymers. Cobalt Rod Guides will maximize well completion production, including wells that are vertical or deviated, high temperature, corrosive, high water cuts and solids.

MORE DRIVE, LESS TORQUE FOR  PCP WELL COMPLETIONS

In PCP systems, the drive unit on the surface
is used to rotate the sucker rod string, which transmits
rotational drive motion to the downhole pump.

The performance and lifecycle of the rod string 
is dependent on its ability to withstand
the torque stresses, oscillation and friction. 

Cobalt has re-engineered the rod guidespecifically designed to resist the high torque loads and rotational wear which is typical for  PCP systems.

Proper guide spacing is required to mitigate the impact of excessive side loading when the well is deviated or the rod string is in compression.

Cobalt Sucker Rod Guides were developed to offer a high-performance alternative to conventional rod guides.

Engineered to withstand the abrasive counterfaces and high impact load conditions often encountered in deviated artificial lift well completions.

The ARPMAX engineered polymer selected for PCP wells is "Tubing Friendly", as the polymer has a very low co-efficient of friction due to the embedded lubricant additive.
